12:47. Sturla Holm Lægreid and Karoline Knotten may be the defending champions of the World Team Challenge in Gelsenkirchen (Germany), but they won ‘t be in the running on 28 December to make it two.
As the Biathlon auf Schalke organisation revealed on Wednesday, Norway has indeed decided to send a duo comprising Juni Arnekleiv and Mats Oeverby to the end-of-year exhibition event.
For the two biathletes, this will be a major first. They will be up against the Belgians Florent Claude and Lotte Lie, the Germans Justus Strelow and Janina Hettich-Walz, the Czechs Tomas Mikyska and Marketa Davidova, the Slovenians Jakov Fak and Anamarija Lampic and the Finns Tero Seppälä and Suvi Minkkinen.
