Cross-country skiing: the TNE Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite returns from Davos
From 2 to 9 November, the cross-country skiers in Team Nordic Expérience Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite were able to get their skis back on at a course organised on the snowfarming slopes of Davos (Switzerland).
In the canton of Grisons, they were able to put some speed and volume back into their winter preparations. Throughout the course, the athletes, coached by Maxime Grenard, Antoine Tarantola and Eliot Serra, went through a series of sessions essential to an effective return to snow: a threshold to regain speed on the snow, speed sessions to regain technical automatisms on skis and an individual 10km classic time trial organised with the Savoie committee.
In particular, it provided a solid first reference, with the exception of Mattis Basille and Claire Moyse who skated it. “ This friendly confrontation with the athletes from Savoie provided a stimulating and valuable first competitive framework on the eve of the start of the season”, explains the TNE in a text written by Julien Arnaud.

To complete the technical work and refine the speed sensations, a skateboard sprint KO was also organised with the Savoie committee. The only difference was that the team’s pushers did not take part in this format , to keep in line with their specific training programme.
Between the altitude, the quality of the snowfarming and the pleasure of getting back on skis, Davos offered “an ideal training ground”. The cross-country skiers were able to complete one session after another in an atmosphere that was both studious and friendly, supported by solid moments of group life that reinforced the spirit of the TNE.
The group returned from Switzerland full of confidence and ready to enter the final phase of preparation, with a final training camp scheduled for 17 November in Bessans (Savoie) before the first races of the winter.
