The Storlirennet, a 35-kilometre cross-country ski race, took place between Norway and Sweden on Saturday. Astrid Oeyre Slind was one of the favourites on paper, and she lived up to her billing.
The Norwegian quickly broke away at the front and gave her rivals no chance, winning with a lead of over 6 minutes over her nearest rival, the young Eva Ingebrigtsen, who won last winter. Behind them, Kathrine Harsem took third place.

In the men’s competition, Jan Thomas Jenssen worked hard to make the difference in the final. At the finish, the Norwegian managed to get the better of his team-mate Emil Iversen and the revelation Andreas Fjorden Ree, who won last year’s title in this competition.
