Cross-country skiing | Autrans: favourite Gaspard Cottaz wins the U20 mass-start of the French Cup

12:26. The favourite in the men’s U20 mass-start skating event at the French Cross-Country Skiing Cup in Autrans (Isère), Gaspard Cottaz from Dauphiné dominated the race on the Plateau de Gève slopes on Sunday lunchtime.

Escaping alone in the lead for much of the 20km programme, he won solo after 43 min 12 sec 3 of effort to claim another national success. Valentin Berna, at 30 sec 0, and Quentin Lespine, at 30 sec 5, were on the podium ahead of Mallory Moreau, Noah Carru Vedrenne, Johan Calandry, Jules Bobillier-Chaumont, Milo Desseux and Maxence Nilly.
