Ebba Andersson took on the Norwegians Heidi Weng and Therese Johaug on Sunday in theindividual 10-kilometreskate race at the opening Swedish cross-country ski races in Bruksvallarna (Sweden). A solid performer the day before in the same format, but in the classic, the Swede put on a real show of strength in today’s race.

In the absence of Frida Karlsson, the Scandinavian didn’t really have to exert her talent to claim a second victory. Crossing the line more than 54 seconds ahead of her compatriot Maja Dahlqvist, the 27-year-old cross-country skier confirmed that she is in good form and that she will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming days when the World Cup opens in Ruka (Finland).

More than a minute behind the winner, Moa Lundgren completed the podium ahead of Louise Lindstroem and Evelina Crusell, the 20-year-old junior world champion in the individual classic and mixed relay last February on the slopes of Planica (Slovenia).
