Untouchable on Friday in the skate sprint, Edvin Anger did it again on Saturday in theindividual classic of the opening Swedish cross-country ski races. This time in Bruksvallarna (Sweden), the solid young man fought hard to hold on to his first place.

Starting earlier than his main rivals, the Swede had to wait a long time for the country’s best cross-country skiers before he could claim victory. In the end, the 22-year-old Scandinavian won by a margin of just three seconds over his closest rival, compatriot Truls Gisselman.

Following the leading duo was the experienced Jens Burman to complete the podium, ahead of Canadian Antoine Cyr and the surprising Gustav Kvarnbrink, who was stronger than the nugget Alvar Myhlback in the final hectometres of the course.
