Cross-country skiing: Jan Thomas Jenssen and Moa Lundgren the strongest
Fjälltopploppet took place in Bruksvallarna (Sweden) on Saturday. After yesterday’s 100 metre sprints, the second day of the Fjälltopphelgen saw Norway’s Jan Thomas Jenssen win the 35 kilometre race.
In this men’s race, the Norwegian quickly broke away from the pack, in the company of two Swedes, Fredrik Andersson and William Poromaa. After more than an hour and 25 minutes of racing, the Scandinavian beat Fredrik Andersson in the sprint. William Poromaa rounded off the podium at 34 seconds after being distanced in the final kilometres.

In the women’s race, victory was also decided in a two-up sprint. Sweden’s Moa Lundgren won ahead of her compatriot Moa Hansson. Norway’s Mali Eidnes Bakken took third place, more than a minute and 40 seconds behind the winner.
