Cross-country skiing: fourth place for Edvin Anger
On Sunday morning, it was a Norwegian who won the 10km skateboard stage of the World Cup in Cogne, Italy. Harald Oestberg Amundsen beat two Norwegians to a podium finish that ruled out any other nationality. But with three weeks to go to the World Championships in Trondheim (Norway), Sweden continues to score points.

Edvin Anger finished fourth, just four seconds behind third-placed Norwegian Martin Loewstroem Nyenget. In the mixed zone, the big lad appeared confident. His latest performances confirm that he is in good shape. At the Tour de Ski, he sprang a surprise by claiming his first podium in a long-distance race. Since then, he has continued to demonstrate that he is much more than just a sprinter.
On Saturday, the green bib crossed the finish line of the sprint final in last place. Speaking to journalists in the Valle d’Aosta, he explained that he had never felt up to the task.

Team-mate Gustaf Berglund, twenty-six, finished seventh. It was his best result on the International Ski Federation’s flagship circuit. His previous best finish was 14th, and that was in the same format. ” I’m a bit surprised to have done so well,” he told Viaplay, as reported by SVT. It’s true that he started the race rather slower than some of his rivals. Today, he hopes to secure his ticket for the world championships.
