Cross-country skiing : Jonna Sundling fastest
On Saturday, the women cross-country skiers in the cross-country skiing world cup met up in Davos (Switzerland) for the sprint skate qualifier. It was Sweden’s Jonna Sundling, world champion in this event, who set the fastest time in the sunny conditions of the Grisons.

The Scandinavian beat Norway’s Mathilde Myhrvold and Sweden’s Maja Dahlqvist. Linn Svahn was fourth, just ahead of local Nadine Faehndrich.

In the French camp, Bornand native Léna Quintin qualified for the finals for the first time this winter, finishing 27th. She will be joined by Haut-Savoyard Mélissa Gal, 29th, who makes her World Cup comeback.

However, qualification eluded Léonie Perry (42nd) from Bresse, Julie Pierrel (49th) from Bornand and Justine Gaillard (50th) from Isère.
