Cross-country skiing : the first team sprints of the season take place in Davos
The cross-country skiing world cup caravan sets off from Davos, Switzerland, this Friday. After the stages in Ruka (Finland) and Lillehammer (Norway), the world’s best cross-country skiers will first compete in a sprint skate team.
It’s the ladies who will get the ball rolling with the qualifying round starting at 4pm. Emma Ribom will be the first to set off for Sweden, before Jonna Sundling takes over at 4.13pm. In the French clan, Mélissa Gal and Léna Quintin will represent their country.
In the men’s race, Norwegian Paal Golberg will open the starting gate at 16:25. Behind him, Jules Chappaz will start in fourth place before being replaced by Richard Jouve. The other French duo will be Renaud Jay and Rémi Bourdin.
