Cross-country skiing: Norwegian sextuple in Engadin
The day after the skate sprints won by Jonna Sundling and Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo, the athletes competing in thecross-country skiing world cup held over the weekend in the Engadine (Switzerland) competed in a 20-kilometre skate mass-start.

Leading the race from the very first metres, the Norwegians reigned over the event. Impressive as the race progressed, the Scandinavians hurt the whole peloton at the end of the competition. Winner the day before, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo did it again, negotiating the final to perfection.
As clever as ever in the sprint, the current leader of the general classification got the better of five of his team-mates. Indeed, behind him, there are five men from the red armada who have enabled their nation to complete a fantastic sextuple.

On the box, it was Iver Tildheim Andersen, winner in Les Rousses (Jura) a week ago, who beat a solid Didrik Toenseth. The experienced cross-country skier is back in the spotlight after a complicated start to the winter. Paal Golberg, Martin Kirkeberg Moerk and Andreas Fjorden Ree rounded off the top 6.
Les Bleus put together an excellent group effort
Behind the Norwegian horde, three French riders finished in the day’s top 10. Jules Lapierre was the best of them, staying in touch right to the end. Seventh on the line, the Chartrousin rider reassured himself after a start to the season that fell short of his expectations.

A few seconds behind him, his compatriot Clément Parisse also made a strong impression. Eighth at the finish, the Haut-Savoyard was back to the standards to which he has become accustomed in recent seasons. Just over 5 seconds later, Hugo Lapalus held on to finish the race in ninth place, just ahead of Mika Vermeulen.

Mathis Desloges from Dauphiné continued to establish himself in the top 15 of the circuit with a solid fifteenth place. Victor Lovera , who came an excellent seventh in the individual skate event in Les Rousses (Jura), followed up with another fine performance in seventeenth place. Just outside the top 20, Rémi Bourdin rounded off the French rankings in twenty-first place.
