18:39. From Friday to Sunday, the second leg of the 2024/2025 Scandinavian cross-country skiing cup was due to take place in Gällivare (Sweden). However, the competition jury decided on Tuesday evening to cancel the event due to the polar temperatures forecast (up to -19°C over the weekend).

“Our absolute priority is the health and well-being of the athletes, and we want to avoid exposing anyone to unnecessary risks in cold weather,” it explained in a statement.
