Cross-country skiing: sprint skate day at EYOF 2025
This Saturday, the programme at the 2025 European Youth Olympic Festival in Bakuriani, Georgia included a cross-country ski sprint. In the qualifying round held in the morning, France had a full house.
In the boys’ category, all four entries made the cut , with Gaspard Cottaz seventh, Paul Rousset Vachon ninth, Simon Calandry twenty-first and Victor Lafrasse twenty-third. Finland’s Kalle Tossavainen set the fastest time.
A few minutes earlier, Anouchka Neuville, fifth, and Lucile Coutaz, eighteenth, had also qualified for the women’s finals. It was a premature end to the day, however, for Pom’ Rives, thirty-second, and Gaëtane Breniaux, fortieth. The best time of the round was set by Switzerland’s Nina Cantieni.
