Cross-country skiing: another success for Margot Tirloy
She’s the strongest. France’s Margot Tirloy, who has dominated the FESA Cup U20 cross-country skiing circuit since the start of the season, put in another impressive performance on Sunday in Falcade (Italy).

The day after her great success in the individual skate race, she won the 15km classic pursuit on Sunday lunchtime. Still well in the lead, she crossed the finish line 1 min 12 sec 9 ahead of Italy’s Beatrice Laurent. More than 2 minutes behind her, the Czech Anna Milerska completed the podium.

For France, Agathe Margreither was fifth, Ariane Pignot sixth, Annette Coupat seventh and Romane Nappey eighth. Daphné Patois did not finish the race.

Earlier in the morning, in the senior category, Germany’s Lisa Lohmann won by 4.4 seconds over her compatriot Anna-Maria Dietze and 5.2 seconds over Italy’s Maria Gismondi. Twenty-fourth place for France’s Maya Desseux, the only competitor.
