Cross-country skiing: Les Bleus in the classic sprint qualifiers at the FESA Cup in Seefeld
Initially scheduled to take place in Oberwiesenthal (Germany), the third stage of the FESA Cup is finally taking place in Seefeld (Austria). On Friday morning, it was the cross-country skiers who kicked off the weekend with the classic sprint qualifiers.
Firstly, in the U20 category, Valentin Berna from the Vosges put in a demonstration performance, setting the fastest time of the round by a margin of almost 2 seconds over Switzerland’s Nolan Gertsch. Gaspard Cottaz was third, Quentin Lespine fourth, Johan Calandry sixth and Mario Perrillat-Collomb tenth.

Then, on the seniors’ side, the fine French morning continued. While Germany’s Jannis Grimmecke won, Ivan Essonnier was second, Mattéo Correia third, Quentin Viguier fourth, Julien Arnaud sixth, Félix Caillot tenth, Sabin Coupat eleventh and Victor Cullet Calderini thirteenth.
