After the U20s, it was the turn of the senior women to compete this Saturday morning in the classic sprint of the FESA Cross-Country Skiing Cup in Oberwiesenthal (Germany).
Léonie Besson from the Haut-Alpes, a member of the i3 Ski Team, shone in this format in which she is a specialist. Second fastest time of the morning behind Italy’s Nadine Laurent and ahead of the Czech Republic’s Barbora Antosova, she got the day off to a flying start.
Other Frenchwomen made the qualifying cut: Justine Gaillard, fifth, Liv Coupat, fifteenth, Juliette Ducordeau, seventeenth, and Clémence Didierlaurent, eighteenth. Cloé Pagnier, thirty-first, and Mélina Berthet, thirty-seventh, are out.
