13:34. The under-20 cross-country skiers rounded off the fifth stage of the winter season at the FESA Cross-Country Skiing Cup in Planica (Slovenia) on Sunday with the classic 20-kilometre mass-start.
And while the event was marked by the fine victory of the inevitable German Jakob Elias Moch ahead of Italy’s Davide Negroni, a Frenchman also stood out. On the third step of the podium, Quentin Lespine put in a benchmark performance.
Behind him, his team-mates Romain Vaxelaire, Johan Calandry and Quentin Viguier all finished in the day’s top 10 in fifth, ninth and tenth positions. It was a disappointment for Timothé Maugain, who was disqualified.
