11:18. Just a few minutes after the women’s competitions in the U20 and senior categories, the cross-country skiers under the age of twenty took their turn in the individual 10-kilometre classic at the FESA Cup cross-country skiing finals in Prémanon (Jura).
Gaspard Cottaz of France got off to a good start and maintained his rhythm through the intermediates to claim a fine podium finish. By finishing strongly, the Isérois rider took second place on the day behind Italy’s Gabriele Matli. After the Frenchman, Germany’s Felix Bollwein completed the top 3.
In the blue ranks, Loris Chevalier and Quentin Lespine also stood out, finishing sixth and ninth respectively. Behind them, Isaïe Taxil was eleventh, Romain Vaxelaire twelfth and Timothé Maugain thirteenth. Jules Bobillier-Chaumont finished 15th, Paul Schlussel 16th, Victor Lafrasse 18th, Quentin Viguier 23rd and Lilian Jaussaud from the Hautes-Alpes elite club 28th.
Simon Millereau came 30th, ahead of Paul Rousset-Vachon(31st), Johan Calandry(32nd), Milo Desseux(34th), Pablo Sanchez(35th), Mario Perrillat-Collomb(39th), Mallory Moreau(40th), Valentin Berna(41st), Clément Monnier(44th) and Lorin Vergnolle(45th), Adrien Marchand, 46th, Baptiste Betend, 48th, Maëlyas Boyer-Deschamps, 49th, Simon Calandry, 50th, Boris Guillot, 54th, Manech Vernerey, 55th, Nino Sansonne, 57th, Zacharie Bourdin, 58th, Joachim Bunod, 62nd, Luigi Biancolli, 66th, Maxime Paccard, 67th, and Simon Clavel, 69th.
