Cross-country skiing : the French women all make the cut
Two weeks after the first stage in Schlinig, Italy, the FESA Cup in cross-country skiing took place in St. Ulrich am Pillersee (Austria). On Friday, the hostilities kicked off with a classic sprint.

It was the under-20 cross-country skiers who got the ball rolling in the morning qualifying round. Twice winner in the first competitions of the winter, Margot Tirloy is back to her best. With a clear lead of almost two seconds over the Czechs Anna Marie Jaklova and Katerina Duskova in the first heat, La Cluse is ideally placed ahead of the finals.
Her compatriot Agathe Margreither came fourth, whileAnnette Coupat and Anouchka Neuville were seventh and eighth. Chloé Missillier , the fourth Blue to compete, also qualified in twenty-eighth place.

In the seniors, behind a solid Iris De Martin Pinter, Liv Coupat and Léonie Besson also got their tournament off to a good start, coming second and third in the prologue. They were followed by Léonie Perry, Justine Gaillard and Juliette Ducordeau in seventh, eighth and ninth place. Cloé Pagnier finished sixteenth and Mélina Berthet twenty-third.
