Cross-country skiing : Margot Tirloy keeps up the momentum
Margot Tirloy is having the time of her life on the FESA Cup cross-country skiing circuit. Twice winner of the first stage in Schlinig (Italy), the Frenchwoman arrived at the races in St. Ulrich am Pillersee (Austria) with big ambitions.

Fifth in the opening classic sprint on Friday, the Haut-Savoyard produced a top-class performance on Saturday to claim victory in the Austrian individual skate. As fit as ever on skis, La Cluse beat her main rival on the circuit, Italy’s Beatrice Laurent. The Czech Anna Milerska finished third.
Behind Margot Tirloy, her French team-mates also shone. Forézienne Annette Coupat took a very good fourth place, just ahead of Jurassienne Agathe Margreither. Former biathlete Chloé Missillier also put in a fine performance, finishing seventh. Ninth on the line, Montblanc’s Anouchka Neuville enabled the French team to place five of its athletes in the day’s top 10.
