Cross-country skiing: Clément Parisse crowned French champion in the mass-start classic
This Sunday afternoon, the 2025 French cross-country skiing championships drew to a close in Les Saisies (Savoie) with the men’s 10km mass-start. In this last national event of the season, there were many medal contenders.
One, however, proved to be faster and stronger than all the rest: Clément Parisse from Haut-Savoie. After a generally disappointing winter on the international stage, the cross-country skier from Megève attacked in the last lap and then resisted the comeback of his rivals in the final to claim the gold medal of French champion.
Clément Parisse crossed the finish line after 31 min 6 sec 5 of effort. He was joined on the podium by Rémi Bourdin from the Franc-Comtois region and Théo Schely from Cluse. Hugo Lapalus was just off the podium, followed by Yan Belorgey, Gaspard Rousset, Mattéo Correia(U23 winner), Luc Primet(U23 silver medallist), Charly Rousset and Victor Lovera in the top 10, ahead of Mathis Desloges(U23 bronze medallist).
Finally, several cross-country skiers contested the last race of their careers: Tanguy Perrillat-Boiteux, fourteenth, Arnaud Chautemps, thirty-sixth, and Renaud Jay, thirty-seventh.
