Cross-country skiing: Mélissa Gal and Théo Schely lead the way in the senior category
Last week, the first stage of the 2025/2026 French Cross-Country Skiing Cup took place in Bessans (Savoie). An individual freestyle and a sprint skating were on the programme, which enabled an initial national hierarchy to emerge.
Among the seniors, Théo Schely, with 205 points, leads the men’s ranking ahead of Gaspard Rousset (176), Victor Cullet Calderini (172), Sabin Coupat (158) and Mattéo Correia (155).
On the women’s side, Montblanc’s Mélissa Gal is currently in the lead with 185 points. Margot Tirloy (184) follows just one point behind, while biathlete Camille Coupé (176), Juliette Ducordeau (170) and Léonie Perry (167) are not far behind.
In the U20s, Gaspard Cottaz (198), eight points clear of Mario Perrillat-Collomb (190), and Anouchka Neuville (192), ahead of Marie Demor (181), Romane Nappey (175) and Agathe Margreither (174), are the leaders. In the U18s, Simon Calandry (197) and Guillemette Baisle (203) are in the lead.
Finally, the hierarchy of clubs is currently led by CS La Féclaz (304), while Mont-Blanc (535) is first in the committee rankings.
