Cross-country skiing: Liv Coupat was the strongest

This Sunday morning, the women’s mass-start skating race in the French cross-country skiing cup at Autrans (Isère) put on a magnificent show on the slopes of the Gève plateau. The 15km race began with a group of six cross-country skiers breaking away from the rest of the field.

Together until the final lap, they then battled it out for victory and a place on the podium. Forézienne Liv Coupat was the strongest, winning in 35 min 35 sec 5, 4 sec 0 ahead of biathlete Camille Coupé, who has been in fine form this winter in the special cross-country event.

At 8.9 seconds, the Franc-Comtoise Cloé Pagnier took third place, while Mélina Berthet, Heidi Convard and Léna Quintin followed in the rankings. The day’s top 10 was completed by Julie Marciniak, Daphné Patois, Eve-Ondine Duchaufour and Manon Favre Bonvin.
