Cross-country skiing: the first qualification of the winter for Léonie Perry
This Wednesday morning, the 2024/2025 French Cross-Country Skiing Cup kicked off with a skate sprint in Bessans (Savoie). The women’s qualification went to Léonie Perry from the Vosges, who won by 0 sec 8 ahead of Clémence Didierlaurent and 1 sec 0 ahead of Julie Pierrel from Bornand. Justine Gaillard, Liv Coupat, France Pignot, Mélina Berthet, Léonie Besson, Amélie Suiffet and Julie Marciniak all finished in the top 10.
In the U20 category, Margot Tirloy from Haut-Savoy, of CS La Clusaz and a member of the Excellence 2030 group, set the fastest time in this qualifying round. A dominant performer, she beat Annette Coupat and Agathe Margreither by more than 3 seconds.
In the U18s, biathlete Rosalie Odile took the lead after qualifying, 2 tenths ahead of Adeline Debuyser, also a biathlete with the Savoie ski committee. Lucile Coutaz and Anouchka Neuville followed.
Finally, in the U16 category, Montblanc’s Raphaël Marrel dominated proceedings ahead of Pyrenean Maël Bernole and Dauphiné Thibault Perrier-Gustin. On the women’s side, Lison Brouart won the qualification ahead of Louna Remillon and Janie Picard.
