Making her return to the snow for the first time before winter at a Swedish national team training camp in Vålådalen (Sweden), Frida Karlsson was unfortunately unable to enjoy the thrill of sliding on cross-country skis for long.
Indeed, the Scandinavian skier, hampered by an injury to her left foot, has stopped her sessions on the white coat. Skiing is still a long way off for me,” she declared in a press release from theSwedish Ski Association. My body didn’t react the way I wanted it to after the first few sessions on snow.
The injury has also prevented Frida Karlsson from taking part in the next training camp with her team in Val Senales, Italy. The Swede will be training in Tenerife (Spain) over the next few days, cycling at altitude: “This injury means that Frida has to give up training on snow and concentrate on rehabilitation and alternative training,” explains national team doctor Rickard Noberius.
