Cross-country skiing: Les Bleus head for Tignes from 8 June
For several years now, the French cross-country skiing team has been holding its first major summer training camp in Tignes (Savoie), on the Grande Motte glacier. This 2025/2026 season, which will culminate in the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, is no exception to the rule.

From 8 to 22 June, over a period of three weeks, Les Bleus will be together for the first time this summer in their entirety.
“This big block, with a week more than usual, will kick-start our preparation, Olivier Michaud, director of the French cross-country ski teams, explained to Nordic Magazine. It’s working well over there, so we’re building on that, especially as it allows us to set everything up for the rest of the season.”
Scandinavia this summer
As well as cross-country skiing sessions on the slopes at an altitude of almost 3,000 metres, the gathering in the resort of Tignarde provides an opportunity to plan sessions of running, ski-touring in the surrounding passes, weight training or track and field athletics.

It should be noted that the CNOSF’s pre-Olympic gathering on the Giens peninsula (Var), scheduled for 25-30 May, will open the preparation programme, followed by the Scandinavian summer competitions.
“Blink and Toppidrettsveka are on the programme for the men’s A group. However, it will be more à la carte for the women,” says Olivier Michaud.
