Cross-country skiing : second third place in two days for Ivan Essonnier
To conclude this fourth stage of the 2025/2026 FESA Cup season, held in the Italian resort of Gressoney, it was the turn of the cross-country skiers in the senior category to compete on Sunday in the classic individual 10-kilometre race.
After a very consistent race, Savoyard Ivan Essonnier finished inthird place, 24.1 seconds from victory. At the front, victory was decided by a narrow margin, with Italy’s Giandomenico Salvadori winning by just three tenths ahead of his compatriot Giovanni Ticco.

Four other French players then made the top 10: Mattéo Correia was fourth, Milhan Laissus sixth, Sabin Coupat seventh and Victor Cullet Calderini ninth. Mathieu Blanc was twelfth, Romain Vaxelaire fourteenth, Julien Arnaud fifteenth, Quentin Viguier nineteenth and Félix Caillot twentieth.
