Cross-country skiing : Ivan Essonnier third fastest in the senior category
After Daphné Patois ‘ splendid victory in the morning, it was the turn of the cross-country skiers to take to the start line of the classic sprint qualifiers for the FESA Cup stage in Gressoney (Italy) on Saturday.
In the U20 category, the French had a clean sweep. Luigi Biancolli took 12th place, ahead of Valentin Berna (13th), Victor Lafrasse (14th), Quentin Lespine (17th), Gaspard Cottaz (22nd), Mario Perrillat-Colomb (24th) and Johan Calandry (26th).

In the senior category, nine French riders will be competing in the finals. Ivan Essonnier set the third fastest time in qualifying, ahead of Quentin Viguier (5th), Julien Arnaud (6th), Sabin Coupat (8th), Victor Cullet Calderini (14th), Mattéo Correia (18th), Félix Caillot (21st), Milhan Laissus (25th) and Mathieu Blanc (27th). However, Romain Valexaire (38th) failed to qualify.
