This Sunday, the 2024/2025Tour de Ski will reach its epilogue on the terrible slopes ofAlpe Cermis (Italy). And while Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo ‘s fourth career victory in the race is no longer in any real doubt, with his lead extended to over two minutes and fifteen seconds, the battle for the final podium looks set to be fierce.

After the cross-country skiing world cup skiathlon in Val di Fiemme (Italy) on Saturday, Edvin Anger’s (expected) failurehas shuffled some cards in the overall rankings. In second place is Erik Valnes, just eleven seconds ahead of Mika Vermeulen.

On the verge of another top-3 finish a year after his historic performance, Hugo Lapalus is back in fifth place, just 15 seconds clear of the Austrian and 26 ahead of the Norwegian. A few seconds behind him, his team-mate Mathis Desloges can also aim high. Impressive since the start of the winter, the Dauphinois rider is currently ninth and could even be aiming higher, as he is only 43 seconds off third place.
