This Wednesday, the cross-country skiing world cup competitions in Toblach (Italy) came to an end with the 15-kilometre classic pursuit. A stage counting towards the Tour de Ski, the last competition before the start in Val di Fiemme (Italy) reshuffled the cards in the overall tour rankings.

While Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo is still in the lead, his runner-up has a new name. Gone is Harald Oestberg Amundsen, now in third place and making way for Edvin Anger, the sensational second in today’s race. Just outside the top 3, Mika Vermeulen is just one second ahead of a very good Hugo Lapalus, who is very close to a second podium finish this winter.

For his first Tour de Ski, Mathis Desloges remained consistent and was eleventh, 1 min 47 seconds behind the leader. Rémi Bourdin was not far behind in a solid fifteenth place, while Richard Jouve was twenty-first, Théo Schely forty-fifth and Jules Lapierre fifty-eighth.
