Cross-country skiing: a second World Cup victory for Iver Tildheim Andersen
The individual skateboard event kicked off the world cup stage in Les Rousses (Jura) on Friday. It was an event in which the Norwegian shone brightly, taking victory. His victory came after he had finished 18th in the individual classic at the Norwegian championships on Wednesday. At the finish line, he shares his thoughts on his race and the French public.
“It’s an incredible feeling! It’s delicious,” he smiles to NRK. He continues: “I feel I’ve improved. Two years ago, I was stiff at the top of the hill, but now it’s better,” says Andersen.

It was a race that he managed perfectly : “It was very tough. The first part of the climb is very difficult. You have to start very carefully. I think I was more economical on the first part of the loop than the others. After that, I pushed harder with each lap. I think that’s where I built up my victory”.
The Norwegian will be at the start of the mass-start classic this Sunday and he’s already looking forward to seeing the French public again. “I came here two years ago and it’s incredible. I hope there will be a big crowd this weekend,” he concludes.
