The overall winner of this international long-distance cross-country skiing circuit, Ida Dahl has not enjoyed the same success since. In fact, last season, the Swede simply had a blank season due to a major injury and several illnesses.
The 29-year-old cross-country skier, who has been Team Engcon’s star performer for several seasons, did not appear on the recent list published by the team’s bosses. This is because the Scandinavian is not yet certain of returning to the Ski Classics next winter. “I’m going to start training on my own from home. We agreed that it was the best thing to do,” she explained to SVT Sport. If I want to try my luck again, Team Engcon will be there. I’m doing much better and I hope I can continue to do so.
