The Finnish cross-country skiing championships kicked off this Friday in Imatra (Finland). On the first day of competition, the cross-country skiers competed in a team sprint skate.
In the women’s race, Emmi Lämsä and Olivia Puranen won by just 78 hundredths ahead of Nora Kytäjä and Vilma Ryytty. The duo of Lida Vuollet and Josefiina Böök completed the podium, 2.11 seconds behind the winners.
In the men’s race, Lauri Lepistö and Ristomatti Hakola won. They beat Juuso Haarala and Joni Mäki by 3 sec 61. Olli Ahonen and Miro Karppanen completed the day’s podium, 6 sec 16 behind the winners.
