Cross-country skiing: 5 hours and 24 minutes on skis for the French technicians
Since 1 November, the French cross-country ski teams have been based in Bessans (Savoie), where the early snow – thanks to snowfarming – and the cold weather offer almost ideal conditions for launching the season. But it’s not just the athletes who are racking up the miles… the French technicians have also got their boards out.
On Monday, Renaud Jay – who was still a cross-country skier in the French team last winter and has since become the group’s physical trainer – Guillaume de Nardin – who is in charge of the technical team – and Tao Quéméré – who looks after the sliding side of things – set off on a 100.25km outing on the Haute-Maurienne slopes!

They skied for more than 5 hours, covering 2,247 m of ascent in the process. Their objective? To test the skis, structures and waxing.

As a reminder, the French cross-country ski team travelled to Bessans (Savoie) with its waxing truck and all its technicians.
