Cross-country skiing : Jessie Diggins continues her rehabilitation
Last winter, Jessie Diggins won the overall cross-country skiing World Cup despite suffering from painful plantar fasciitis, which forced her to grit her teeth, particularly in the classic technique. More than a month after the last race of the season, the American gave some news on her Instagram account.
” I do my daily physiotherapy exercises,” explains Jessie Diggins, as she tries to stimulate movement in both feet with a special elastic band. “ It’s healing, and it’s going really well. But it’s slow. I do about 20 minutes of physiotherapy a day, I’m working on it.”

“It’s really nice to see progress, but it’s also been an exercise in patience,” continued the 33-year-old cross-country skier. Today, I managed to run for 50 minutes, which is really important for me. I’m not very patient, so it was really interesting for me to have to work at it slowly, as I got back into running. But what’s really nice is to see the progress every day, to know that each time I have a little less muscle soreness and that it’s working”.
So the American continues to work, with her sights already set on next season and the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
