On Wednesday evening, during the skate sprint of the cross-country skiing world cup in Tallinn (Estonia), held in the city centre, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo once again won in his favourite format. Despite being outclassed by an excellent Jules Chappaz, the Norwegian managed to find the resources to take the lead in the final straight.

A solid leader in the overall rankings for several months now, the 28-year-old cross-country skier has also secured the overall win with this victory. In fact, with his total now at 1,928 points, the Scandinavian has enough margin over his runner-up, Swedish colossus Edvin Anger.
So it is for the fifth time in his career that the native of Trondheim (Norway) will lift the crystal globe this Sunday at the end of the finals in Lahti (Finland). Already the author of an unprecedented grand slam at the World Championships a few days earlier, he continues to write his legend here. Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo now joins Gunde Svan of Sweden, who won the competition for the first time in 1983. He is also just one point behind legend Bjoern Dæhlie and his six overall titles.
