Cross-country skiing : a good start to the season
After a successful summer, marked by victory in the overall rankings of the Challenge Vincent Vittoz in Prémanon (Jura) and the title of French summer cross-country skiing champion in the classic mass-start in Autrans (Isère), Léonie Perry ‘s autumn preparations were disrupted by injury.
The Vosges native, currently on training with the French cross-country skiing team in Bessans (Savoie), fractured the thumb of her right hand during a weight training session in mid-October, Nordic Magazine has learnt.

Despite this setback, the 21-year-old cross-country skier is continuing her preparations for the winter and “has been able to pick up a second stick while keeping the brace on “, says Alexandre Pouyé, coach of the French women’s cross-country skiing team. This augurs well for the opening of the season in Bessans (Savoie) on 26 and 27 November, when she should be “operational”.
