Cross-country skiing : Jessie Diggins the boss in Les Rousses
After the men’s race earlier in the day, it was the women’s turn to compete in theindividual skate race at the highly-anticipated cross-country skiing world cup in Les Rousses (Jura). At the end of the 10 kilometres, it was Jessie Diggins who was the strongest after a real demonstration.

Uncertain for a while because of pain in her foot, the American won again, completing the 10km in 22 minutes and 37 seconds. She beat Germany’s Victoria Carl by 19 seconds and 5 tenths. Norwegian Astrid Oeyre Slind rounded off the podium , 20 seconds behind the day’s winner.

The top 10 was completed by Austria’s Teresa Stadlober, Sweden’s Ebba Andersson, Germany’s Pia Fink, Frida Karlsson, American Sophia Laukli, Finland’s Kerttu Niskanen and Norway’s Karoline Simpson-Larsen.
Flora Dolci leads the French team
In the French clan, Flora Dolci took eleventh place, just 2.5 tenths off the top 10,despite being very uncertain about how she would feel the day before the race following an illness contracted during the Tour de Ski. A more than reassuring performance for the Haut-Alpine.
