Cross-country skiing: lighter training for Linn Svahn
On 26 February, Linn Svahn crashed and suffered concussion on the eve of the world championships in Trondheim (Norway), bringing her season to an end. When the Swedish national teams for next season were announced, the Swedish national management announced that the 25-year-old cross-country skier had begun her preparation with lighter training.
“She’s starting lighter training. She’s had a confirmed concussion and she’s been here for a while. That’s made the start a bit complicated. She’s not yet at the stage where she’s fully fit. That’s pretty much what I know and what the medical team have told me,” women’s coach Stefan Thomson told SVT Sport.

The national team doctor, Rickard Noberius, is keeping quiet about the cross-country skier’s situation, but is keen to reassure: “Things are moving in the right direction, but I can’t say any more than that,” he says.
Linn Svahn is one of eight women who will be part of the Swedish national team for the coming season, whose main objective will be to shine at the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
