Cross-country skiing: Richard Jouve and Jules Chappaz win the title
They did it! Disappointed a few weeks ago at missing out on the podium at the world championships in Trondheim (Norway), French cross-country skiers Richard Jouve and Jules Chappaz teamed up again on Wednesday for a sprint skate team.
It was at the Lucerne 2025 World Military Games, on the track in Goms (Switzerland), that the French duo performed. After a qualifying heat that finished in eighth place, Les Bleus went into overdrive in the final to claim victory and a fine gold medal.

In the strong category, Richard Jouve and Jules Chappaz finished ahead of Switzerland’s Cyril Faehndrich and Janik Riebli and Finland’s Arsi Ruuskanen and Markus Vuorela.
The French succeed Jonas Baumann and Gianluca Cologna of Switzerland, who were crowned champions in 2013, and Artem Maltsev and Nikolay Morilov of Russia, who were crowned champions in 2017.
