Cross-country skiing: another FESA Cup success for Margot Tirloy
On Saturday, for the fifth time this season, French cross-country skier Margot Tirloy won the U20 circuit of the FESA Cup. Outclassing her rivals, this time she won the 10km individual skate in Falcade (Italy) 17.6 seconds ahead of local Beatrice Laurent , while Switzerland’s Anina Hutter was third at 27.2 seconds.

The other Frenchwomen shone: Agathe Margreither was fifth, Romane Nappey sixth, Annette Coupat seventh and Ariane Pignot ninth. Daphné Patois, winner of the classic sprint on Friday, was eighteenth.

In the seniors’ race, Anna-Maria Dietze won ahead of Italy’s Maria Gismondi by 8.5 seconds and Martina Bellini by 28.3 seconds. Heidi Convard was sixteenth and Maya Desseux twenty-fifth.
