Cross-country skiing : Rémi Bourdin solo
To round off this weekend’s French Cross-Country Skiing Cup in Méribel (Savoie), the senior and U20 cross-country skiers met up in the middle of the day on Sunday to contest the mass-start in classic style.
Second in the classic sprint on Saturday, Rémi Bourdin imposed his law this time in the 20-kilometre race. In first place from the first intermediate, the 24-year-old cross-country skier then isolated himself at the front of the race to win.
Vosgien Mattéo Correia – winner of the classic sprint – took second place, 49 seconds behind Rémi Bourdin. Aubin Gaulier completed the podium. Behind him, Luc Primet was fourth, ahead of Loris Chevalier, fifth, and Félix Caillot, sixth.
Montblanc’s Johan Calandry won the U20 category, taking seventh place overall. He finished ahead of Milo Desseux, ninth overall, and Lorin Vergnolle, tenth overall.
