Leaving some doubt as to whether he would be present at the start of the cross-country skiing World Cup season, the Czech announced to Irozhlas.cz that he would not be at the start in Ruka (Finland) on 29 November.
“It was a huge blow for me. I came back from France [to the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival, editor’s note] and I was taken away in an ambulance the next day,” he says. As an ordinary citizen, I don’t care, but unfortunately I’m going to miss part of the season.
