12:08. Following on from the individual classic races, the FIS races in Muonio (Finland) on Saturday featured classic style competitions once again.
In the individual 10km race, local Johanna Matintalo set the fastest time, winning by 7.4 seconds ahead of her compatriot Jasmi Joensuu and Austrian Teresa Stadlober, who tied for second.

Laura Gimmler, Coletta Rydzek, Helen Hoffmann, Pia Fink, Caterina Ganz, Vilma Nissinen and Kerttu Niskanen entered the top 10 ahead of Krista Pärmäkoski.
The men’s race was a thriller, with the top four finishing within 2.5 seconds of each other, but it was Germany’s Friedrich Moch who came out on top, winning by a margin of 1.9 seconds over Finland’s Ristomatti Hakola and Italy’s Elia Barp, who were also tied for second. Leevi Tarjane, who was in the lead for a long time, had to make do with the chocolate medal.
