Victoria Carl made her mark this weekend in Muonio (Finland). Winner of the individual classic on Saturday, the German did it again this Sunday morning in the individual 10km skate race, one of the traditional FIS races at the start of the season.

Less dominant than the day before, the 29-year-old cross-country skier did what she had to do to build her confidence with less than two weeks to go before the return of the World Cup. Behind her, Finland’s Kerttu Niskanen settled for second place, just 9 seconds behind the leader.

Runner-up to Victoria Carl on Saturday, Austria’s Teresa Stadlober this time took the final step of the podium ahead of Pia Fink and Anne Kÿllonen.
