Cross-country skiing: 21 Norwegians at the world championships in Trondheim… for now
At a press conference midday on Tuesday, theNorwegian Ski Association unveiled its selection for the world cross-country skiing championships in Trondheim (Norway) at the end of next month.
This first list includes eleven cross-country skiers and ten cross-country runners: in the coming weeks, following the forthcoming World Cups, a distance runner and two sprinters will complete the group.

Among those selected are the stars Therese Johaug, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo and Harald Oestberg Amundsen. Kristin Austgulen Fosnæs, Helene Marie Fossesholm, Julie Myhre, Mathilde Myhrvold, Nora Sanness, Kristine Stavaas Skistad, Astrid Oeyre Slind, Silje Theodorsen, Heidi Weng, Lotta Udnes Weng, Paal Golberg, Matz William Jenssen, Simen Hegstad Krueger, Even Northug, Martin Loewstroem Nyenget, Andreas Fjoerden Ree and Erik Valnes will also be taking part.
The season’s flagship event will be held without Mattis Stenshagen, Didrik Toenseth or Emil Iversen.
