On Friday afternoon, more than 500 cross-country skiers took part in the 10km individual skate race at the Norwegian championships in Hovden (Norway). In this very long race, suspense was the order of the day, with the top 32 finishers within 59 seconds of each other.
Up front, Martin Loewstroem Nyenget took victory, and therefore the gold medal, just 6 tenths ahead of silver medallist Martin Kirkeberg Moerk. At 2.7 seconds, Iver Tildheim Andersen took bronze, while Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo was fourth at 3.9 seconds.
