In the qualifying round of the men’s classic sprint at the FESA Cup cross-country skiing competition in Oberwiesenthal (Germany), three Frenchmen managed to break into the top 30: Julien Arnaud, fifth, Ivan Essonnier, sixth, and Gaspard Rousset, 18th. Victory went to Czech rider Ondrej Cerny ahead of Italy’s Simone Mocellini and his compatriot Jiri Tuz.
It was the end of the day for Victor Cullet, thirty-first, Mathieu Blanc, thirty-second, Victor Lovera, forty-third, and Milhan Laissus, forty-fifth.
