On the French side, it was Romain Vaxelaire who put in the best performance of the day. Fifth at the finish, the rider from the Vosges finished just over 51 seconds behind the leader. Behind him, Haut-Savoyards Johan Calandry and Quentin Lespine were twenty-first and twenty-third respectively. Doubiste Timothé Maugain finished twenty-fourth, while Cluse rider Quentin Viguier rounded off the Bleus ranking in twenty-sixth place.
