Cross-country skiing: Gaspard Cottaz wins a hell of a battle
After the women’s races, it was the men’s U20s who took to the slopes in Planica (Slovenia) on Sunday morning to take part in their individual 10km skate in the first stage of the FESA Cup cross-country skiing competition.
In this final race of the weekend, Gaspard Cottaz, who missed out on the podium in the classic on Saturday, triumphed outright this time. In a time of 20 min 43 sec 4, the Dauphinois beat Germany’s Jakob Elias Moch by 5 sec 0 and Italy’s Daniel Pedranzini by 10 sec 3. It was his first international victory.
